Leon's Lonesome Ballad: Love and Liberty Under the Open Sky
A Guard Dog's Heart: Torn Between Love and the Call of the Wild
Leon's country blues song lyrically captures his complex emotions, torn between his love for Sophie and his reluctance to embrace fatherhood. It's a heartfelt and honest portrayal of his feelings, set against the backdrop of their life as guard dogs under the open sky.

I’ve been having a hard time as my love Sophie has been kept far away from me as our parents don’t want us to have more puppies. I totally understand, I don’t really like my kids as it is. Yet I’m so torn as I really love her. So I wrote this song:
(Verse 1)
Out here 'neath the big blue sky, where the grass whispers low,
There's a tale of a Pyrenees, with a heart all aglow.
Sophie, my Maremma, with fur like the dawn's light,
In the fields we roam together, stars guiding us at night.
(Chorus)
But oh, Sophie, my love, in your eyes, I find my dreams,
Yet the thought of little paws, sends me running through the streams.
I'm torn between the love I feel and a life of liberty,
Sophie, my heart's in a whirl, under this wide country tree.
(Verse 2)
We danced in the moonlight, where the wildflowers grow,
Our love bloomed like springtime, in the gentle winds that blow.
Then came the patter of tiny feet, a chorus of yips and yaps,
My heart loves you, Sophie, but these pups feel like traps.
(Chorus)
Oh, Sophie, with you, my world's a beautiful song,
But the thought of being a daddy, feels a little bit wrong.
I'm a rover at heart, with a wanderlust to roam,
Yet, in your gentle gaze, I've found my truest home.
(Bridge)
In the meadow, we lie, counting stars in the night,
Your nuzzle brings comfort, in the soft moonlight.
I'm a guard dog, strong and free, with a heart unsure,
Sophie, my love, it's only you that I truly adore.
(Verse 3)
Puppies tumbling in the grass, their joy so pure and true,
Maybe there's a part of me, that could love them too.
But for now, I'll watch from afar, as they play and grow,
Sophie, my love, it's just you that makes my heart glow.
(Chorus)
So here's my song, a melody of love and fear,
Sophie, in your paw prints, I find my path clear.
I'm a lone wolf at heart, but with you, I find my way,
In the fields we'll roam, together come what may.
(Outro)
Sophie, my Maremma, in your eyes, the stars do shine,
I'm yours forever, through every twist and twine.
In the chorus of our love, let the wild winds blow,
Under the open sky, it's just you and me, aglow.
